About This Service

What to Expect

Recovery does not end when treatment ends. In many ways, it is just beginning.

Returning home often means facing new challenges as individuals apply what they learned in treatment to everyday life. Rebuilding routines, strengthening recovery supports, returning to work or school, repairing relationships, and managing life's responsibilities all become part of the recovery journey.

Recovery coaching provides individualized guidance, accountability, encouragement, and practical support throughout this process. Together, we focus on developing healthy routines, strengthening recovery skills, navigating obstacles, and creating a life that supports long-term recovery.

This is not therapy, and it is not a substitute for clinical treatment. It is personalized, action-oriented support designed to help individuals remain engaged in recovery, build confidence, and continue moving toward meaningful goals.

Our approach is structured yet flexible, meeting each individual where they are while helping them move forward with clarity and consistency. We emphasize real-world application, helping clients translate recovery principles into daily habits, decisions, and relationships that support lasting change.

FAQ

Common questions about recovery coaching

What is recovery coaching?

Recovery coaching is individualized, goal-oriented support that helps people build and maintain recovery outside of formal treatment. Coaching focuses on accountability, practical problem-solving, healthy routines, community connection, and navigating the real-life challenges that often arise during early recovery.

How is recovery coaching different from therapy?

Therapy often focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions or processing past experiences. Recovery coaching is future-focused and action-oriented, helping individuals apply recovery principles in everyday life while working toward meaningful personal goals.

How long does recovery coaching last?

Every person's recovery journey is different. Some individuals benefit from coaching for a few months after treatment, while others appreciate longer-term support as they continue building stability and confidence.

Our goal is to work ourselves out of a job by helping individuals develop the skills, confidence, support systems, and independence needed to sustain recovery long after coaching ends.

Can recovery coaching include family members?

Yes. Recovery affects the entire family. When appropriate and with the individual's permission, coaching can include family communication, education, and collaborative planning to strengthen the recovery process.

Do I need to have completed treatment first?

No. While many people begin coaching after treatment, others start while participating in outpatient services, medication-assisted treatment, or other recovery programs. Coaching is designed to complement existing care and provide additional structure and support.

What if I've relapsed?

Relapse does not mean failure. Many people seek recovery coaching after a setback to better understand what happened, strengthen their recovery plan, rebuild confidence, and move forward with additional support.

You don't have to figure this out alone.

Schedule a consultation to discuss your family's situation, explore available options, and determine the next best steps.
