Privacy Policy
Effective May 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Interventions With Love ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects the personal information of visitors and families who reach out for services. We take the privacy of families in crisis seriously. Reading this carefully matters, these are sensitive conversations, and we want you to know exactly what happens with the information you share.
The information we collect
Information you give us directly
When you call, email, fill out a contact form, or book a consultation, we may collect:
- Your name and the name of your loved one (if you choose to share it)
- Phone number and email address
- State or city of residence
- Details about your loved one's situation that you share in conversation
- Scheduling information through our booking platform (cal.com)
Information collected automatically
When you visit this site, our hosting platform (Cloudflare) and analytics services may collect standard technical information: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, and approximate location based on IP. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide consultation, intervention, or coaching services
- To coordinate with treatment providers and other professionals you authorize us to contact
- To send you appointment confirmations, follow-up communications, and (if you opt in) educational resources
- To maintain accurate professional records, as required by our credentialing bodies
- To improve this website and our services
Confidentiality
Information shared during a consultation, intervention, or coaching engagement is treated as confidential. We do not disclose the identity of clients or their families to third parties without your explicit, written authorization, except where required by law (for example, when there is a credible threat of harm to self or others, or in response to a valid subpoena).
Interventionists are not licensed psychotherapists, and our services are not psychotherapy. However, we hold ourselves to professional ethical standards equivalent to those expected of licensed clinicians regarding client confidentiality.
How we share information
We share your personal information only with:
- Service providers we use to operate our practice (booking software, email, secure document storage). These vendors are bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Treatment providers and other professionals you authorize us to coordinate with on your loved one's behalf.
- Authorities, only where required by law or to prevent imminent harm.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
How long we keep your information
We retain client records for the period required by our credentialing bodies and applicable state law (typically seven years after the conclusion of services). Casual inquiries that do not result in an engagement are retained for up to twelve months unless you request earlier deletion.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal record-keeping obligations)
- Withdraw consent for future contact at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email info@interventionswithlove.com.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect personal information, encrypted email for sensitive correspondence, password-protected document storage, and limited internal access. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we will notify you promptly if a breach occurs that affects your information.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 18. If a family is seeking help for a minor, all communication is conducted with a parent or legal guardian.
Third-party links
This site links to external resources (treatment centers, educational content, scheduling tools). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites. Please review their policies separately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practice evolves. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Substantive changes will be noted clearly.
