# Accessibility Statement

Interventions With Love is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.

## Standards we work toward
We aim to conform with [WCAG 2.1, Level AA](https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/).

## What we've done so far
- Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy on every page
- Descriptive alt text on all content images; decorative images marked as such
- A visible Skip to main content link for keyboard users at the top of every page
- Color contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 AA for body text and interactive elements
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and interactive controls
- Forms with associated labels and clear error messages
- Text resizing cleanly up to 200% without loss of content or function
- Phone numbers offered as `tel:` links so screen-reader and mobile users can dial directly
- Every page has a markdown view (append `.md` to any URL) for screen reader and AI-tool accessibility

## Known limitations
- Some legacy blog images may have generic alt text; we are reviewing the full archive
- Embedded third-party content (scheduling widget, video) follows the accessibility practices of those providers
- We have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit. One is planned.
